Brenda Hanegan is a Visual Artist and Educator. A Louisiana native, she received her BFA in Painting and Printmaking from LSU Baton Rouge in 1987, and MFA in Studio Art from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1994. Ms. Hanegan’s art is informed by the fragile and fertile nature of the earth and our human relationship to it. She works from photographs and diaries to draw upon her own experiences and find her footing in her familial roots.
She is a Professor of Fine Arts at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, LA.
